Manulife Vietnam has contributed VND 200 million in additional funding as part of its sponsorship of Vietnam's Olympic team for the London Games that started this week.
As part of the deal, each of the 18 Vietnamese Olympic athletes will directly received VND 10 million to cover personal expenses.
The additional payment forms part a larger agreement Manulife has with the Vietnam Sports Administration that was signed in April this year.
Manulife Vietnam CEO, Chung Ba Phuong said the deal presents a great opportunity for the company to express its care for Vietnam's top sportsmen and demonstrate its commitment to Vietnam's sporting future.
The Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Sports Administration, Lam Quang said that the sponsorship not only gives financial support to the athletes but also a source of motivation to them, helping them to be fully dedicated to the competition and bring glory to the country.
