Chinese biotech company, Zhen-Ao Group has become a major sponsor of the International Weightlifting Federation.
The deal is a good fit for Zhen-Ao Group which is a leading developer of nucleic acid products and natural medicines.
The company has been considering a major sponsorship with weightlifting since being introduced to the Federation at the 2011 IWF Junior World Championships, which were held in Malaysia.
Zhen-Ao Group has been a partner of the Chinese Olympic Committee since 2001 and continues to be the official health supplement supplier of the Chinese Olympic Team.
As part of the deal, Zhen-Ao Group's range of nutritional supplements have been endorsed by the Federation and tested according to the World Anti-Doping Association standards.
The deal is for two years with options.
